What’s New?

First off! May I recommend this adorable and very affordable laptop Decal from Amazon for only $8! It didn’t quite fit on my left side of my laptop so I cut it and applied it to the back!

2nd semester has been one wild ride to say the least! I have been a very busy bee! I am done with med/surg rotations and am now on the rehab floor at Sharp. I am most excited about my ER and cath lab rotations at this hospital.

As of now, I know I do not want to work on a med/surg or rehab floor. Not that there is anything wrong with those, but so far OR is the only thing that has been pulling at my heart strings (read more about that here).

Update on Rehab

Rehab is totally different world of nursing. The pace is much different and so is the skill set. Our patients rarely have IV meds and almost always need a 2 person assist. It takes a special kind of nurse to work with patients you know you can never “fix”. It has been very mentally difficult for me to deal with, but some of my classmates are absolute superstars in this field. If you are good at giving people hope, helping them regain certain movements, and have any interest in kinesiology, this may be for you!

Also, I am considering posting condensed version of my notes for you guys as resources. I am still trying to figure out the best way to do this. If you have any special requests, please let me know in the comments!
