My boyfriend and I have had the very privileged pleasure to go to Seattle for NYE 16-17 (pictures coming soon). The Hilton Seattle has an executive lounge for those who purchase an executive room. It includes a complimentary hot & cold breakfast buffet AND a complimentary happy hour with beer, wine, and apps from 5-7.
One of the main reasons, I recommend this place! It saves you a ton on food and alcohol (usually my main expense!) AND its walking distance to EVERYTHING. This doesn’t include Meredith Grey’s house, but I saw the general area from the Space Needle so that was good enough for me 😉 Also, they held our luggage free of charge until the room was ready when we arrived and at check-out so we could explore before our flight.
Bri Hack: Sign-up for Hilton Honors (it’s free) and you get discounts on your room, ability to check-in early (via app) and pick your room at most locations, free WIFI, AND the ability to access your room from your phone (via app) at most locations!
Highlights:
I should note we got the City Pass for $75. It made sense for us because we had plenty of time and were interested in visiting all of these places. If you even visit 2 out of the 5 it pays for itself.
It includes the following 5 places:
Seattle Aquarium – LOVED (but Monterey is still the best)
Space Needle – LOVED (dress warm)
Museum of Pop Culture* – LIKED (Enjoyed it, but definitely not my fave)
Chihuly Glass Garden* – LOVED (try to catch a glass blowing workshop!)
Argosy Seattle Cruise Tour – LIKED (very relaxing and informative… perf for the day after NYE for us)
*You can opt for a different option for 4 & 5, but those were our choices
We also did the following not included onto city pass:
Dinner at Six Seven for my 26th – LOVED the waterfront view; LOVED the food; LIKED the drinks (weak pours)
Argosy Cruise for NYE – LOVED (dress warm)
Post Street/Gum Wall – LOVED (and its free)
Pike’s Place – LOVED (and its free)
First Starbucks Store – LOVED (the line seems long, but it moves fast!)
Thanks a lot for the post.Much thanks again. Really Great.
